Sarada Devi

By Hilda Charlton

Sarada Devi (1853-1920), the consort of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, was revered as an aspect of the Divine Mother even during her lifetime. She was a living example of unconditional love, for throughout Her life She expressed wisdom, understanding, kindness, and compassion to all who turned to Her for consolation and spiritual guidance.

Her shrine can be seen at the Ramakrishna mission, Belur Math, on the sacred river in Calcutta, India.
